About

Daniel Scenters was born in Hamilton, Ohio in 1983, the youngest of five. While he was creative since his early childhood, Daniel, detested anything that was related to writing. His creativity stemmed from drawing, which he took pride in until his mid teenage years. It was in 2002, at the age of seventeen, he wrote his first poem entitled "No More Pain".

In December 2002, Daniel took thirty of his poems to a local Office Depot and had them bound; two copies were made of what became his first book, "Truth: Reflections of the Spirit". One copy he kept, and the other wound up in California, at a Christian book publisher called Gospel Light (no longer in business). They turned down his book claiming there was no market for poetry; this in turn lead Daniel to go to the self-publishing route---which he did until 2009.

Daniel continued to write poetry from 2009--2015, though he never put out anymore volumes of his work. It wasn't until mid 2015 that he quit writing altogether, as a result of feeling stagnate in his abilities, writing only one poem in 2019.

2020 brought many things into the lives of the masses, it did the same for Daniel, but the year also came with daunting hardships. Personal relationships were gravely struggling; his father passed in July, and his uncle that December---both which took a heavy toll on the poet. Born from a dwelling of perpetual darkness looming over 2020, Daniel began writing again. Still producing many new pieces, and polishing ones from 2020, onward, Daniel has taken his real-life pain and brought forth from within himself, a new body of work. His nineteenth volume of poetry entitled "Ephemeral".
